Proscend 5000H Series SHDSL.bis routers comply with ITU-T G.991.2 (2004) standard optimized for small to medium size business environment. The SHDSL.bis interface provides business-class, multi-range from 192kbps to 5.696Mbps (2-wire router) and 384Kbps to 11.392Mbps (4-wire router) symmetric payload rates over existing copper wires. Proscend 5000H operates the SHDSL link in either EFM mode or ATM mode. It is designed to deliver business class Ethernet Service under EFM mode while providing the flexibility to be compatible with the existing DSLAM infrastructure under ATM mode.

The standalone modems offer a variety of choices for data interfaces to meet different connection needs. Proscend 5099B Series features E1/T1, Serial and Ethernet interfaces, allowing connection to different DTE types. When equipped with multiple interfaces, the standalone Shdsl.bis NTU combines user traffic over the Shdsl link. Available DTE combinations include E1+V.35/X.21, T1+V.35/X.21, E1+Ethernet, T1+Ethernet and V.35/X.21+Ethernet that can work simultaneously to share the DSL bandwidth.
